The mineral blend of StressPly Legacy FR Mineral incorporates smog-reducing granules to significantly reduce pollution, while StressPly Legacy utilizes 100% recycled boiler slag. These modified membranes are composed of repurposed polymers that divert materials away from landfills and make use of post-industrial recycled streams: Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS), plastics, crumb rubber from tires, and recycled mineral fillers.
The compound consists of 6 different environmentally conscious raw materials, including a high-strength and puncture-resistant reinforcement that contains yarns from recycled plastic bottles. With absolutely no sacrifice in quality, StressPly Legacy membranes maintain Garland’s high performance roofing systems while benefiting the environment.
StressPly Legacy membranes are engineered with Garland’s proprietary TripleBoost Advanced Weathering Package, providing unparalleled durability. StressPly Legacy FR Mineral includes unique smog-reducing granules in its mineral surface. These granules are formulated to bond with pollutants in the air surrounding a building. A typical 20,000 square-foot commercial roof has the smog-reducing benefit equivalent to 19 trees.
RECYCLED & BIO-BASED CONTENT
Each roll of StressPly Legacy contains the recycled plastic from an estimated 20 recycled bottles in its reinforcing scrim. Each batch of StressPly Legacy has enough crumb rubber in its formulation to keep 8 tires out of landfills and includes 4% bio-based content.
