KOMPAN can make it possible to choose lower carbon emissions by picking products that are either born green or made green.
For a brighter future for our children, we all must carry the responsibility of lowering carbon emissions. According to United Nations, we need to cut carbon by 45% before 2030 in order to keep temperature increase to only 1.5 degrees.
In the Parks and Recreation industry more than 80% of carbon emission comes from raw materials, so KOMPAN has chosen to face the challenges head first. Their goal was to develop new sustainable raw materials together with their suppliers.
As a result, KOMPAN can now deliver full solution playgrounds that are Born Green or Made Green, which are available to school and agencies through OMNIA Partners.
Born Green products are made of nature's own building material, wood from sustainable forestry. That is why they come with very low carbon emissions.
Made Green products are made green because they are made of post-consumer recycled materials such as ocean waste, used textiles, food packaging waste, used plastic bags, etc. Our new Made Green products are called GreenLine and come with 50% reduction in carbon emission versus our equal 2014 products (dependent of chosen product).
This means you can now make a green choice when buying a playground.
